**EVENTS and PARTNERSHIPS updated!!! 04/12/10**
First off, I want to thank you for visiting this site! It means a lot to me and those that we help that you’re considering either supporting the group or looking to us for help. Maybe even both?
My mission is pretty clear, but I wanted to go into it with a little more depth.
The inspiration behind this project comes from the hundreds of people I’ve come across since 2008 who have honoured me by sharing their personal stories. These personal histories found their ways into the core of my heart and made a huge impression on me regarding both the individual – as well as our populations in general.
In these stories, I was made aware of the many misdeeds carried out on a daily basis against those individuals and families that either could not recognize they were being taken advantage of or didn’t have the means to fight it.
And so the wheels began to turn in my head… what could I do about it? And the Lending Hands Project was born.
I’m one person who, with the help of other people like me, want to be a part of the solution… not the problem.
It’s not an easy task to try to explain the entirety of what I aspire to accomplish, but I hope that by exploring this site, you will leave with a pretty good idea of what I’m going for.
